§ 15-26. Camping facilities.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful to camp in any county park unless otherwise posted.

    (b)

    Pitching tents or parking trailers or other camping equipment in areas not designated for such purposes shall be unlawful.

    (c)

    Failure to maintain quiet in a camping area between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. shall be unlawful.

    (d)

    No person or group of persons may occupy any campsite for a consecutive period longer than seven (7) days in the same park during any twenty-one (21) day period camping is allowed only at designated areas and by permit only.

    (e)

    Camping is allowed only at designated areas and by permit only at a designated fee set by the board of county commissioners.

    (f)

    Youth under eighteen (18) must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

    (g)

    No more than one camper or two (2) tents per site.

    (h)

    Limit of eight (8) persons per site. Limit of one family per permit.

    (i)

    Cutting of live trees and shrubs is prohibited.
