§ 18-131. Deposit of wastes from outside of county.

Latest version.
  • It shall be the responsibility of the disposer of out-of-county waste to notify the landfill director prior to the use of a county disposal facility. The landfill director or board of county commissioners shall have the right to refuse out-of-county waste due to the finite capacity of the landfill system.

Nothing in this article shall prohibit the board of county commissioners from requiring disposers of solid waste generated outside of the county to pay a tipping fee higher than the standard tipping fee. However, no tipping fee shall be negotiated for the disposal of solid waste generated outside of the county which is less than the standard tipping fee.
