§ 18-135. Removal of garbage or other materials.

(a)

It is unlawful for any person to enter upon the premises of a sanitary landfill in the county, except for the purposes as set forth in section 18-134 or for the purpose of removing any objects or fill therefrom. All persons are prohibited from the collection, sorting out, scavenging or removal of any garbage or other materials deposited in the sanitary landfills. This section shall not prohibit the board of county commissioners or its designated agents from removing any materials as part of its overall coordinated program for the management of the sanitary landfills.

(b)

The board of county commissioners may negotiate a contract for the removal of materials from the landfill site. The agreement will be an annual contract and revenue received will be placed in the general fund.
