§ 18-151. Fees established by resolution.

  • Any individual, firm or corporation or other legal entity using any county-managed landfill, transfer system or other facility for the disposal or management of solid waste shall be charged fees for such use in accordance with resolution of the board of county commissioners, adopted from time to time. No fees shall be charged for disposal of waste generated by departments of the board of county commissioners. The board of county commissioners may waive fees for nonprofit groups who collect litter in the county.

    The board of county commissioners may also establish by resolution the method by which solid waste disposal fees shall be paid and the operating procedures to be utilized by the county landfills. The county landfill director may establish and modify operating procedures that are consistent with an ordinance or resolution of the board of county commissioners.
