§ 18-154. Suspension of fees.

  • Upon determination by the board of county commissioners that the operation of any particular solid waste disposal facility within the county is necessary for the health, welfare and safety of the community, but that the administrative costs involved in collecting any of the fees imposed in this division exceed the anticipated revenues resulting from such fees, the board, by resolution spread upon the minutes, may suspend collection of fees, in whole or in part, for disposal of solid waste at such facility, provided that such action shall be in conformance with the covenants made by the board of county commissioners in connection with the issuance of solid waste disposal system revenue bonds. The resolution shall contain the findings of the board, and it shall set forth the terms, conditions and limitations governing the suspension of collection of fees at such facility.
