§ 19-61. Findings.

(1)

F.S. § 125.01(q) grants the board the power to implement municipal service benefit units for the provision of streets.

(2)

It is the purpose of this article to implement the provisions of F.S. chs. 125 and 197 and the covenants contained in any ordinance, resolution, or indenture securing the issuance of financing for the project.

(3)

It is determined by the Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners, that the establishment of a Roadway Improvement Municipal Service Benefit Unit, as provided for herein, will impart special benefits upon the real property within such unit for which a special assessment may be assessed and collected by the county within the provisions of state law.

(4)

This article is adopted under the authority and power granted the board under F.S. § 125.01 and F.S. § 197.3631 and other applicable laws.
