§ 19-581. Findings.

Latest version.
  • (a)

It is necessary to provide for the funding mechanism for the provision of street lighting within the Country Meadows Subdivision, Creetwood Village Subdivision, Gardenbrook Subdivision, Laurelwood Subdivision, Plantation Woods Phase II Subdivision, Pro Am Estates Subdivision and Tanglewood Oaks Subdivision.

    (b)

The Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners finds that the most equitable method of providing such funding is through the creation of the Country Meadows Subdivision Street Lighting Municipal Service Benefit Unit, Creetwood Village Subdivision Street Lighting Municipal Service Benefit Unit, Gardenbrook Subdivision Street Lighting Municipal Service Benefit Unit, Laurelwood Subdivision Street Lighting Municipal Service Benefit Unit, Plantation Woods Phase II Subdivision Street Lighting Municipal Service Benefit Unit, Pro Am Estates Subdivision Street Lighting Municipal Service Benefit Unit and Tanglewood Oaks Subdivision Street Lighting Municipal Service Benefit Unit (units) to include the properties depicted in the attached maps.*

The units will utilize non-ad valorem assessments to insure that all property owners benefiting from the street lighting shall fund the complete cost of such service.

Santa Rosa County is authorized by Chapters 125 and 197, Florida Statutes, to implement the provisions of this article.

    (c)

It is the purpose of this article to implement the provisions of Chapters 125 and 197, Florida Statutes, and the covenants contained in any ordinance, resolution, or indenture securing the issuance of financing for the project. This article is adopted under the authority and power granted the board under F.S. §§ 125.01, and 197.3631, and other applicable laws.
