§ 8-2. Service charges to fund mediation services.

  • (a)

    The clerk of the court shall collect a service charge of $5.00 on any circuit court dissolution of marriage proceeding.

    (b)

    All funds derived from the imposition of the service charge set forth in subsection (a) of this section shall be deposited in the family mediation account fund under the supervision of the chief judge of the first judicial circuit. Of each charge collected, $1.00 shall be forwarded to the office of the state courts administrator and the remainder utilized to fund mediation.

    (c)

    The clerk of the court shall collect a service charge of $5.00 on any county court proceeding.

    (d)

    All funds derived from the imposition of the service charge set forth in subsection (c) of this section shall be deposited in the mediation account fund under the supervision of the chief judge of the first judicial circuit. Of each charge collected, $1.00 shall be forwarded to the office of the state courts administrator and the remainder utilized to county civil mediation.

    (e)

    The clerk of the court shall collect a service charge of $45.00 on any petition for a modification of a final judgment of dissolution.

    (f)

    All funds derived from the imposition of the service charge set forth in subsection (e) of this section shall be deposited in the family mediation account fund under the supervision of the chief judge of the first judicial circuit. Of each charge collected, $1.00 shall be forwarded to the office of the state courts administrator and the remainder utilized to fund family mediation services.
