§ 14-36. Penalty fee assessment.

(a)

If any alarm system produces three (3) false alarms in any calendar year, the sheriff's department or fire departments shall provide written notice of the fact, which shall be given by certified mail or delivery to the alarm user asking the alarm user to take corrective action in regard to false alarms and informing the alarm user of the false alarm fee schedule provided herein.

(b)

Any alarm system producing a 4th or additional false security alarm in a calendar year shall constitute a violation of this article.

(c)

False alarms occurring no later than two (2) months after installation of an alarm system shall not be counted in the penalty fee assessment procedure.
