§ 19-618. Funding.

The unit established pursuant to this article is established to provide funding for the specified fire departments. Such departments are all nonprofit corporations. Nothing in this article shall be construed to establish any legal relationship between the county and the fire departments. The fire departments are not agents or departments of the county and, therefore, the county shall not be responsible or liable for the operations, activities, actions or inactions of the fire departments.
